About nootropic and cognitive research peptides
This category covers the neuropeptides most often encountered in cognitive and behavioural research literature. Semax and Selank both originate from Russian research programmes and both have a body of published work that is largely regional, which is worth knowing when assessing how much independent replication exists.
Semax is an ACTH fragment analogue studied for BDNF expression. Selank is a synthetic analogue of tuftsin studied in anxiety-model work. DSIP - delta sleep-inducing peptide - is studied on a different axis again, in sleep and neuroendocrine models.
One procurement note specific to this group: these three attract steady search demand for a nasal-spray format. Pillar Research supplies lyophilised research vials, not pre-formulated sprays. If a supplier is offering a ready-made spray, that is a different product with different stability and documentation questions to ask.
