About mitochondrial and redox research compounds

These compounds are grouped by the research question rather than by structure: they are the ones that appear in mitochondrial function, redox balance and cellular-ageing literature. Structurally they have little in common, and that matters when comparing them.

MOTS-C is a mitochondrial-derived peptide, encoded in mitochondrial rather than nuclear DNA. SS-31 is a tetrapeptide studied for its affinity for cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane. NAD+ is a coenzyme rather than a peptide at all, studied in redox and sirtuin-pathway work. Glutathione is a tripeptide studied as an antioxidant and in detoxification-pathway research. Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide from telomere and pineal research.

Because this group spans peptides, a coenzyme and a tripeptide antioxidant, the vial sizes vary widely - from 10mg to 1500mg. Price per milligram is not a meaningful comparison across this category; compare within a compound, against its batch report.

All compounds listed are supplied for in vitro laboratory and educational research only. They are not listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and are not for human or animal consumption.
